Howdy! I’m Oglo! I use Linux and the BSDs, I develop open-source software, and I don’t use AI to do any of it! I’m a proud Texan redneck who speaks Russian too (due to family). My family has chickens and we live off rain water too. :)
My favorite programming language is C, specifically the older
standards such as C99. That’s simply because I am a huge supporter of
offline-first, portable design. This is something modern languages
really don’t try to preserve for whatever reason. Imagine
downloading a source code tarball and then compiling it 10 years later
only to find out it cannot reach crates.io because the
maintainer did not ship it with cache files included.
